Therapeutic Roots

"Continuously Learning & Therapeutically Rooted"
My work brings together therapy, clinical supervision, therapeutic training, creativity and ceramics. Although these may sometimes look like very different spaces, they are connected by the same values: compassion, curiosity, authenticity and a belief that we each grow in our own way.
I work therapeutically with people, offer clinical supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors, and provide therapeutic training and professional development for counsellors, therapists and other practitioners. Alongside this, my creative practice includes ceramic art, pottery workshops and retreat days, bringing together creativity, reflection, relaxation and, at times, sound practices such as gong and sound therapy.
Diversity and inclusion are woven throughout my work. I aim to create spaces where people do not have to fit themselves into a particular way of being, learning, creating or practising. Whether I am sitting alongside someone therapeutically, supporting a counsellor to develop their practice, facilitating a training group or sharing a table covered in clay, my approach is relational, compassionate and centred around the individual.

Creativity, connection and space to grow
Creativity plays an important part in how I work. I have always been fascinated by the ways creative mediums can communicate when words cannot. Clay, colour, texture, imagery and making can give shape to emotions, experiences and ways of being that can sometimes be difficult to explain. Creativity can help us explore, express, process and discover something new about ourselves.
" I see my role as standing alongside you rather than directing where you should go. I bring patience, curiosity and a genuine interest in people, creating space for you to explore what feels meaningful and to grow in a way that feels authentic to you "
That might mean developing confidence in yourself as a therapist or counsellor, exploring challenges within clinical supervision, learning something new through professional training, reconnecting with yourself during a retreat, or simply sitting at a pottery table and experiencing what happens when you give yourself permission to create.
At the heart of all my work is the same intention: to create spaces where people can feel supported to explore, express themselves, develop and feel more fulfilled, in their practice, their creativity and their lives.
